Terms of use
The rules for using Haily, kept short and in plain language.
Last updated: 7 November 2026
In short: Haily is free for your personal use. It is our software, so please do not copy, resell or take it apart. It comes as it is, without guarantees. You decide what Haily may do, and you are responsible for the actions you approve and for following the terms of the AI services you connect.
1. Who we are
Haily is made and operated by DXSL (dxsl.org), called “we” or “us” here. By installing or using Haily you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Haily.
2. Your free licence
We give you a free, personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable licence to install and use Haily on computers you own or control, for your personal use, including your own day-to-day work.
Haily is closed-source software. DXSL keeps all rights to it. You may not:
- sell, rent, lend, sublicense or redistribute Haily, or offer it as a service to others;
- copy it other than to install and use it as described here;
- decompile, reverse-engineer or modify it, except where the law expressly allows this;
- remove or change any notices of ownership.
If you would like to use Haily across a team, company or organisation, please contact us first. Paid services under the name Haily Pro are coming soon and will have their own terms.
3. AI providers and other services
Haily can connect to services run by other companies, such as AI providers (for example OpenAI, Anthropic, Google), Ollama, Telegram, GitHub and the websites it visits for you. When you connect or use them:
- their own terms of use and policies apply, and you are responsible for following them;
- any fees they charge are between you and them; Haily's Costs screen is an estimate to help you, not a bill;
- we do not control those services and are not responsible for their availability, content or conduct.
4. You stay in charge
Haily acts on your behalf. You choose how much it may do without asking, through its approval settings, and you remain responsible for:
- the actions you approve, and the actions you allow it to take without asking, including in scheduled tasks;
- using Haily lawfully, including the rules of the websites it uses for you and the rights of other people whose information it handles;
- checking its work before relying on it for important decisions. AI can be wrong, even when it sounds sure and cites sources.
Keep your own backups of files that matter. Haily's undo covers changes to your files, but cannot take back a sent message, a published post or a payment.
5. No warranty
Haily is provided free and “as is”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including that it will be error-free, uninterrupted, fit for a particular purpose or that its answers will be accurate.
6. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, DXSL is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profits or business, arising from your use of Haily or your inability to use it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
7. Updates and changes
We may update Haily, change or remove features, or stop offering it. We may also change these terms; the date at the top of this page shows the latest version. If you keep using Haily after a change, the new terms apply.
8. Ending
You can stop using Haily at any time by uninstalling it. Your licence ends automatically if you break these terms.
9. Contact
Questions about these terms: haily@dxsl.org. How Haily handles your data is described in the privacy policy.
